‘A Pattern Image’ sets out a broad range of built environments suitable for urban planning and studies the structures necessary to determine their visual success. It also intends to augment an image we already have, derived from recent urban planning policies, by presenting a wealth of material based on experience worldwide in the field. The book contains 24 examples and is useful both as a manual for specialists and as a reference for ordinary users.
